The Lifestyle and Health Research Centre Raises Awareness of Breast Cancer
In 26th October, 2021, the lifestyle and Health Research Center Organised a health promotion event to raise awareness of breast cancer at The Health Sciences Research Centre, Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman University. A booth was placed at the lobby of the centre to attract both staff and visitors. The booth consisted of mainly three stations, lifestyle and risk of breast cancer, self-check techniques and nutrition in relation to breast cancer. All booth visitors were attracted by the pink colour which was a key in the décor. They left the booth with pink masks and Arabic self-check procedure cards that are attached to pink roses, and enriched with knowledge and myth-busting facts. They also enjoyed a taste of anti-oxidant foods such as strawberries dipped in chocolate, black coffee and fruity green tea.
